Find answers about UFile — local Windows tools to convert, rotate, and extract PDF pages.
UFile is a Windows desktop app with three local tools: PDF ↔ Word conversion, PDF rotate (90° / 180° / 270°), and PDF page extract by range. Processing runs on your PC — files are not uploaded to the cloud.
Each tool works with one file at a time. Open a tool, add your file, run the action, then save the result. For several documents, repeat the same steps.
From the home screen, open PDF Rotate or PDF Splitter.
- Rotate: choose 90°, 180°, or 270° and apply to the whole document.
- Split: extract the pages you need by custom page ranges into a new PDF.
When finished, use Download to save the file where you want.
Yes. After installation, UFile processes files locally on your PC. You only need the internet to download the installer. PDF conversion uses Microsoft Word installed on your computer.
UFile processes documents on your machine. The app does not upload your files to the cloud and does not require an account to use the tools. Your originals stay under your control; save results only when you choose Download.
UFile is a native Windows desktop app optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11 (x64).
Yes for PDF ↔ Word. Convert uses Microsoft Word on your PC. Rotate and Split work via the built-in PDF engine and do not require Word.
Conversion supports PDF → Word (.docx) and Word (.doc / .docx) → PDF. Other office formats are not part of the current tools.
After processing, use Download to choose where to save the result. If you close the app without saving, temporary working files are cleared.
Rotate applies to all pages in the document at 90°, 180°, or 270° — useful for fixing upside-down or sideways PDFs in one pass.
Enter ranges like 1-3, 5, 8-10 to pull those pages into a new PDF. Perfect for extracting a chapter, invoice, or report section from a larger file.
No account is required to run the desktop tools. Install UFile and work locally on your PC.
